2: According to Paul Sheldon it was the 1st Coppa Florio Race. Gerald Rose talks about the
   2nd Coppa Florio Race. The first one was held in September 1900 although it had a poor
   entry as in this year. The race was won by Baron Franchetti on a Panhard and was run over
   the same circuit.
